WHY SON'S CAMP?
Without going into a bunch of Sociological and Psychological detail here is Why Son's Camp is important:

We are called to help Dads/Mentors build into their Sons so that the Sons can become Men.

The Voice of a Dad and/or Male figure to a boy is critical.

In Today's Run, Run, Run world, taking the time to be mindful and intentional with your son is very difficult.

Shared Experience and Shared Language of what is taught and expected of our sons to become men allows clarity and accountability in the Father/Son relationship.

The Spring 2018 Son's Camp is a Pilot of this program.
Please show us some grace as we work to make it happen.

If you have questions please check our FAQ's section below.
SONS. GOD. CAMP.
HOW IS SON'S CAMP GETTING DONE?
By God's Grace & Strength

Son's Camp is getting done by dedicated volunteers who are called to lead this work and a network of volunteers who graciously volunteer their time to manage and facilitate the camp.

We have the support of a major Cincinnati Church. We are grateful to them for the resources and support they share.

By Dads and Mentors of Boys who are willing to be mindful, intentional, and willing to build into their son/mentee.

The Camp will be split into two sections: 7-12 year olds and 13-17 year olds as the focus and expectations of these two groups are different.

The Mentor/Son pair will be put into teams of 4-5 Pairs (Community), of which, one of those pairs being the Team Captain/Trip Captain.

WHAT IS SON'S CAMP?
THE 3 GOALS OF SON'S CAMP:

-
Relationship: To build healthy relationships between a son and his Heavenly and Earthly Father.
-
Defining a Man: Both who they (the son) are as a Son of God and what is expected of them as a man. (Based on the 5 Marks of a Man - Brian Tome.)
-
Shared Experiences: Driving a common language through common experiences helps build relationships and in turn community.

WHAT IS SUCCESS?:

-
A son spends time with A man who cares for them.
-
Sons are given awareness of a Godly Man
-
Affirm the sons relationship as a son of God and of their Earthly Example

WHAT ABOUT THE AGE OF MY SON?

We recognize 7 year olds have a different capacity and need than 17 year olds.

The 7-12 Year old's section of camp will focus on education and play as we build into the Mentor-Son Relationship utilizing the 5 Marks of a Man to develop a common language.

The 13-17 Year old section of the camp will focus on Transition from boy to man. Focusing on application of the 5 Marks of a Man.
